Please join me in contributing to the National Black Theatre's (NBT's) VISION Forward Fund. All donations are tax-deductible. I am happy to be one of the fundraisers for NBT, not only to support my son, Jonathan, NBT’s Artistic Director, but to support a theatre that entertains and empowers while educating the national conscience around current social issues impacting our communities. Penned in 1991 and enclosed in a time capsule, the visionary genius and founder of NBT, Dr. Barbara Ann Teer wrote a “Letter To The Future”. Her words continue to be relevant decades later. Recently, NBT garnered the Obie award for Sustained Excellence in Production and Continued Advocacy on Behalf of Black Artists. I hope you will join me in supporting an institution that has always built strength from a space of love.
By making a tax-deductible donation small or large to NBT’s VISION Forward Fund, you will help an institution that has for 51 years helped to amplify Black voices, Black artists, and Black spaces. Through our collective investment we can help rejuvenate the strength and the power in Black artists. Through collective action, we can leverage the work of Dr. Teer and continue to move our communities forward.
