The National Black Theater, founded in 1968 in Harlem by Dr. Barbara Ann Teer has always celebrated and championed Black artistry, culture, and ancestry. My niece @Sade Lythcott is the CEO, having taken over for her mother Barbara, upon her passing. In this time of renewed commitment to strengthening Black businesses and communities, and elevating Black voices, I hope you’ll join me in supporting an institution that has always built strength from a space of love.
By making a donation small or large to NBT’s Vision Forward Fund, you will help an institution that has for 51 years helped to amplify Black voices, Black artists and Black spaces in Harlem. Through our collective investment we can strengthen the power of Black artists. Through collective action, we can leverage the work of Dr. Barbara Ann Teer, and we can continue to move our community forward.
